Sundays in December
Dec. 8 - Communion Service; Normal Schedule (8:00, 9:15, & 10:45AM); Livestream (9:15AM)
Dec. 15 - Normal Schedule (8:00, 9:15 & 10:45AM); Livestream (9:15AM)
Dec. 22 - Three services (8:00, 9:15 & 10:45AM); NO Small Groups, there will be childcare for children 6wks-5 years old plus our Sunshine class at 9:15AM; Livestream (9:15AM). Westwod en Español will join us at the 10:45AM Service.
Dec. 24 - Christmas Eve Candlelight Service 3:00 PM & 5:00PM. There will be NO care for children Christmas Eve.
Dec. 29 - ONE service only (9:15AM); NO Small Groups, there will be childcare for children 6wks-5 years old plus our Sunshine Class.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Make plans to attend one of our special Christmas Eve Candlelight services, December 24, at 3:00PM or 5:00PM. We will also be taking an offering for our benevolence fund that is used throughout the year to help those in need.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is an annual offering collected around the world to support international missions. 100% of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world. Lottie Moon was a missionary to China who urged churches to give sacrificially to missions. You can give your Lottie Moon Offering online, gowestwood.org/giveonline,our Church App, or you can drop a check into the offering buckets (please include LMCO in the memo section of your check).
Safety Net Thanksgiving Meal
If you would like to help serve a Thanksgiving meal to the boys at Safety Net on November 9 contact Randy Watts at [email protected]
Samaritan Purse's Operation Christmas Child
Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is November 18-23. A limited supply of pre printed shoeboxes will be available on Sunday, October 27. If we run out you can use regular shoeboxes or shoebox size plastic tubs. Please refrain from using oversized boxes and totes as it presents shipping issues. You can leave your filled shoeboxes in the designated area in the lower atrium. Please remember NO candy, toothpaste, glass items, liquid items or toys that scary or war related toys.(knives, guns, etc.)
Toy Collection for The Lovelady Center
There are boxes to collect toy donations located throughout the campus. Please drop your donations by December 8. They are also looking for individuals or groups that would be interested in helping ladies shop and then wrap gifts December 16-20. Click here to signup to help. Purchase a Christmas Meal for Harvest House
On November 10, there will be a Christmas tree with envelopes that you can take to purchase a meal for a Harvest House family. When you take an envelope, remove the prayer card inside and put your $50 donation inside the envelope and return in one of our offering buckets. If donating by check please make payable to Westwood Baptist Church and put "HHMeals" on the memo line. The Harvest House will also need help packing the meals; so if you are interested please contact Jodi Burbank by email [email protected].
Collect Silly Socks for Children's Hospital
Our Kids Ministry is collecting silly socks for Children's Hospital. The deadline to bring socks is Dec. 15. Look for the donation bucket upstairs in the children's area.
